Kingsley Flood - "All In All"

Sounds Like:

Raucous folk-rock wrapped in a swanky indie shell, stadium rock for the small-room set, the return of one of America’s next great bands.

Why You Should Care:

Transition and change in whatever form it takes can be unsettling, confusing, and sometimes downright horrifying. But, more often than not, we find our way through the fog of trepidation to a place full of possibilities that we may not have been aware previously existed. When we last checked in with Boston/DC rockers Kingsley Flood, they were destroying the stage at the best club in America with songs from their critically acclaimed LP (Battles), and would soon be on their way to a notable debut at the Newport Folk Festival.

Jump forward to now, the eve of their release show for their latest EP, To The Fire.  Despite losing member Jenée Morgan Force, and in large part because of their ambitious subscription based crodwfunding campaign, the band is back and sounding better- and bigger - than ever. The track All In All treads familiar lyrical territory for the band (social tolerance, equality) but finds their rustic-mod sound taking on a brighter, more modern indie-rock sheen.

You can catch Kingsley Flood road-testing all of their new songs (and newest member Eva Walsh!) along with friends Fellow Creatures and Humble Fire THIS FRIDAY in DC at the Rock & Roll Hotel. And if history is any indication we can assure you of two things:

1) This will sell out. So get your tickets now.

And, most importantly…

2) This WILL be one of the best shows you see in 2015.
