That's right fellow rock fans, THE ROCK SHOW is coming back to DC to finish off the year right and we want you to be there with us!
Over the course of the past decade or so, Drive-By Truckers have made a reputation on doing one thing and doing it well: Making the most ass-kicking, whiskey swilling, balls-to-the-wall ROCK AND F@#@ING ROLL this side of Muscle Shoals...or anywhere for that matter.
Now, if you know anything about the Truckers, you know that the core, the engine of the band has been, and will always be Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley; the Glimmer Twins for the southern set if you will. But with the exception of Brad "Easy B" Morgan, the band has seen a somewhat revolving lineup that has seen the likes of legendary session musician Spooner Oldham, bassist Earl Hicks and most famously guitarist Jason Isbell.
A few weeks ago longtime bassist Shonna Tucker announced that she was leaving the band (on good terms) leaving the Truckers at yet another crossroads. While it's not clear just who will be replacing Shonna in the long term, long time Trucker family member David Barbe will be filling in for the bass when the DBT's hit the 9:30 Club next week to begin yet another era of this mighty band from the south
So rock fans, want to be there to see what happens? All you have to do is answer us ONE QUESTION:
Who should replace Shonna Tucker as the bass player for the Drive-By Truckers?
It can be anyone you want, just let us know in the comments section below (valid email required)who you think would best fill her vacant (Go-Go) boots and you are entered to win. We'll announce the winner next Wednesday afternoon, but tickets are going fast, so you should probably just go ahead and get them now, just in case.
Good luck, and we can't wait to see everyone at the rock show!
