Congratulations Red, you're going to the bar to see Deer Tick with us!. Hope your liver is in shape! And remember people, while only one of you could win the pair of tickets, you're all winners in our book.
Until next time....
Hide your women and lock up your whiskey, because Deer Tick are coming to town this Sunday to support their new record, Divine Providence, and we want you to come to the show with us.
Begun in 2004 as a solo project of lead singer John McCauley's, Deer Tick has evolved from those meager beginnings (though that debut record, War Elephant, could hardly be considered meager) and continued to grow and evolve, bringing in new members and guest musicians as they see fit. Now a 4 piece, the group has somewhat abandoned the quieter approach taken on the first few albums for a more raucous drive that pairs the sound of the Van Morrison's fronted Them with the punk energy of the late 70's to produce some mighty fine whiskey soaked rock and roll.
Sound like your sorta thing? GOOD!!! Want to win tickets? To enter just leave a comment below (with a valid email address) in which you answer the following question:
Who would win in a drinking competition:
Deer Tick, Van Morrison, or the entire state of Rhode Island?
We'll announce the winner Friday afternoon at 4pm, so get cracking people.
And just because we love you, here's a quick preview video of the new album to wet your whistle.
