You might be thinking, "Hmm, this guy looks a lot like that one Beatle. And they share the same last name. I wonder if they're related?"
Allow us to save you the Google search: James McCartney is indeed related to Sir Paul McCartney.
Being the son of a legend, James got to learn from the best of the best, making it no surprise that he is quite the talented singer-songwriter himself. Before coming into his own as an artist, James contributed to both of his parents' solo albums, playing guitar and drums on Paul's Flaming Pie (1997) and Driving Rain (2001) as well as Linda McCartney's Wide Prairie, released in 2008 after her death. James then began working on his own music, eventually releasing his first EP Available Light in 2010. A year later, he released his follow-up EP Close at Hand. His first full-length album, titled Me, is set to release later this month on May 21.
